You can move, trim, split, loop, fade and change the gain of audio clips using Apple Pencil, or your Windows Pen.
- To move an audio clip, simply drag it with Apple Pencil, or your Windows Pen.
- To split a clip, draw a vertical line down from the top of the clip - as if "slicing" the waveform. This will split the waveform in to two separate clips.
- To trim the start and end of a clip, drag the rectangular handle on the left and right edges of the clip container.
- To fade a clip in or out, drag the triangular handles in the top corners of the clip's container
- To loop a clip, drag the bottom right or left handles out.
- To change the gain of a clip, drag the circular handle at the top of the clip container up or down. A "dB" (decibel) label will show the gain change as a plus or minus figure.
Of course, as with everything in StaffPad, to erase a clip either:
- On iOS, press harder with Apple Pencil to erase
- You can enable the "Show Eraser" toggle in the StaffPad settings, and use the erase mode
- You can select a clip using the lasso selection or bar selection methods, and then press the delete icon
