StaffPad comes with a suite of high quality studio effects to elevate your recordings and productions to the next level.
Effects can be applied to both audio and notation staffs.
To access effects:
- Tap the staff name on the left of the score
- Tap the "Effects" icon
- Choose an effect and toggle it's power button: adjust the amount slider to change the overall strength of the effect.
Effects are tailored for the type of content the staff contains. For example, if you create a piano staff - either a notation staff or a piano audio staff, you'll see that there's a special "Dream Piano" effect which you can enable. Or, as another example, if you create a "vocal" audio staff, you'll notice there's some pre-defined vocal effects.
Behind the scenes, these "named" audio staffs also inform StaffPad of what to expect - and thus, StaffPad can configure itself based on this knowledge. For example, the "vocal" audio staff will configure itself to record in mono, with a hyper-cardioid polar pattern, and will display relevant effects for a vocal processing chain.
