If you're finding that your pen ink strokes are disappearing after you've written some ink on the score, it might be that you're using a pen that's not fully compatible with Microsoft's new DirectInk API.
To fix this, from the App Settings, toggle Use Legacy Ink.
This enables a compatibility mode for older pen technology, and should fix the issue.
