If you've recently upgraded StaffPad on Windows, you may see an error when the app is trying to save the score. This might say "Error when saving score, please contact StaffPad Support for assistance". You may also notice the app behaving strangely, such as not being able to print, after you've seen this message.
The most common reason for this is that the app isn't getting the right permissions from Windows to be able to save to its own score folder.
To fix this, we need to re-select the score folder from StaffPad's settings.
Here are the steps to reset the score folder:
- Tap the StaffPad logo in the top left of the app's home tab
- Tap "Choose Score Folder"
- Then, select your existing StaffPad Scores folder.
You may need to restart the app.
This should reset the permissions within Windows, and the app will be able to save again.
