Select To Grace Note and tap a note, or a beamed group of notes, to create grace notes. Tapping on any note in a beamed group will change the entire group to grace notes.
You can create grace notes before a beat or at the end of bar.
As with many of the symbol brushes within StaffPad, the To Grace Note brush is direction sensitive. You can drag up or down on a grace note to switch between an acciaccatura and an appoggiatura.
An acciaccatura features a slash through the stem, and plays back before the "essential" or main note it's attached to. An appoggiatura is very similar, but there is no slash through the stem and on playback it will delay the main note slightly.
